It's tough for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the team that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a squad that has achieved everything.

It needed up to Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, in truth, a testament to the bowling attack that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It's challenging for their hitters to maintain a record if not provided the opportunity.

Ultimately, the consequence of Australia conceding 330 was skipper Alyssa Healy being given a platform to create her newest gem.

Then best known as the 19-year-old niece of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she debuted in 2010 after her country failed to win either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups from the prior year and has witnessed all through 15 successful years since.

A T20 World Cup win came three months after her debut and seven world titles have resulted from 10 tries across formats.

At the following one-day championship in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the final and was named player of the tournament. She made sure her country would not come up short.

The question of whether this recent magnificent innings exceeded that prior achievement is debatable.

Some will argue the case for final game tension. Different voices suggest with the test that comes when facing a record target and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What is certain is this ton was much more difficult to predict.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 occurred when she topped the run-scoring charts, but this innings came after six matches in India since the start of last month in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"If you've been watching me in practice sessions, it was a frustrating experience because it appeared my form was missing completely," stated Healy.

"Yet the moment you step out on the field, your competitive instincts kick in and you just lock into the competition."

Healy's competitive nature has continuously been her major advantage - and an irreplaceable characteristic in replacing iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, dismissed by the 22-year-old seamer in each encounter, but this time it merely gave Healy's motivation.

A single was taken off the opening delivery and from there Healy was on her way.

"A chance to take the field and engage in competition with her and simply enjoy myself in that regard, sort of got me going," said Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 deliveries - her fastest at the global tournament - and her hundred in 84 as she attacked short-pitched balls, hitting 21 fours and three big hits.

When she was dismissed Australia needed 66 more at run per delivery - an achievable target now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I'm happy we have the belief to achieve that now," stated Healy further.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to repeat it but, if we do, we know we can achieve it."

Those words will be the ultimate thing Australia's opponents at this championship should hear.

Over the past five days a sense they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this victory succeeding win against Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a meeting with longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.

During that phase they left last year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - an encounter Healy missed because of damaged tissue in her foot as she led her country for the initial instance at a significant event.

Such is her determination, she afterwards commented she wished she had played despite the injury.

Yet even as she afterwards confessed those injuries have postponed consideration of ending her career, this tournament is likely to be her last as captain in ODI cricket and she is yet to win an international tournament as captain.

Triumph in India would lead her to the peak of her ultimate challenge.
