AC Shadows Introduces Surprising AoT Event for Thanksgiving
In a surprising partnership that challenges conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Disclosed
According to the formal statement, "A mysterious confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of forbidden rituals and fearsome transformations reverberate through the shadows." The storyline presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine sect.
The adventure focuses on "peculiar tests and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Changes
The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Extra Content
Players who finish the quest will acquire an exclusive katana together with multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-inspired outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe

- Survey Corps vehicle

This release also introduces the game's latest complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement." This humorous mission partners Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange distinctive abilities: Naoe introduces a dramatic version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-fatal stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Enigma" also features a new environmental puzzle that may finally shed light on some lingering questions from the main storyline.
